Local community member having moved to the area in 2022. She is a boy mom with two adult sons and two stepsons still in school.

Employed by the Tri-City Public Library in 2024, her love of children and extensive background in child well being with experience in mental and behavioral fields helps with the library's children programming. 

She is currently a full-time college student at DePaul University studying psychology, but already a graduate of Lincoln Land Community College.

Vanessa is a big animal lover with having cats, dogs, 2 axolotls and a turtle at home. She is also a supporter of cat and dog rescues.
